KALAGRIA BEACH

Kalagria is probably the beach I've been to most here on the Messinian Gulf. Most importantly, it has a shower. With the high mineral content in the sea one needs a shower afterward. The bar is a very relaxed place that looks over the beach while vacationers and locals play "raquetes" which is to say tennis with those paddles. The umbrellas and lounge chairs are there for hire and the guy in charge of those is a student. He sets them up and locks them up at sunset which is around 9 pm here.
