Well, the big one is Sameeh and the other is Suhail. These were my mom's playmates in her much loved village of Abu Dies.
Sameeh is the one who mom played with as a child, catching birds with a sling-shot then performing open heart surgury. He is now a general surgeon in Athens. Suhail is an internal medicine doctor. Both in medicine and both very kind to me. They took me out for an incredible dinner which included a platter full of grilled lamb followed by a platter full of fresh fruit. And yes, I am wearing long sleeves over my tank top even though it was probably 90 degrees that night. It's uncles, you know, from the old country, and respect.
