The cathedral in Siena is amazing!

Except for the slopes (everywhere) this city reminded me of old Jerusalem

Piazza Il Campo

This was a total surprise. Siena was not on  my list because of time constraints. But this is one of the wonderful things about woofing. The farmers/hosts offer to take you along to place they go. Pierangelo worked at the farmer's market today in Siena and so I went along with him to stay at his mom's house along the way in FLORENCE, and then leave by 6 am to be at the farmer's market in time. But that put me in the ancient city before all the tourists woke up. There were tables with candles still burning from last night's late dinners and bottles half full. Here are a few pictures..
